Tickets for school and university students will cost €6, while family tickets will be available for €24 Throughout September, Bulgaria Land cultural and historical park in Pravets will mark the beginning of the new school year with special admission prices.
As part of its “Top Marks for Every Student” campaign, individual tickets for school and university students will cost €6, while a family ticket for two adults and up to three children will be available for €24.
The offer provides families with an opportunity to discover Bulgaria in a different way—not through the pages of a textbook, but by walking among meticulously crafted scale models of some of the country’s most important historical, architectural and natural landmarks. Located beside the lake in Pravets, Bulgaria Land is an open-air museum presenting Bulgaria in 1:25 scale. Spread across 14 hectares, the park brings together dozens of miniature replicas of emblematic buildings, monuments and natural wonders from across the country. In a single visit, guests can travel from Sofia and Veliko Tarnovo to Melnik, Varna, Balchik and Belogradchik.
The exhibits include St Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the National Assembly, the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, the Shipka Monument, Asen’s Fortress, the royal residences of Vrana, Tsarska Bistritsa and Euxinograd, Balchik Palace, the Bulgarian St Stephen Church in Istanbul, the Belogradchik Rocks, Prohodna Cave—popularly known as the Eyes of God—and Raysko Praskalo waterfall.
The park’s most impressive and unusual exhibit is the model of the historic Tsarevets hill. Measuring 36 by 34 metres and standing six metres high, it is designed to be experienced from within as well as viewed from the outside. Visitors can enter the structure and explore an exhibition dedicated to
Bulgaria’s historic treasures.
The models have been created using authentic plans and archival materials, with close attention to distinctive architectural features and the smallest details. Some exhibits also include sound and interactive effects, making the visit both engaging and accessible for younger guests. In addition to the open-air exhibition, the complex includes a visitor centre, a souvenir shop and a restaurant. Its lakeside setting and proximity to Sofia make it an attractive destination for family
outings as well as organised school visits.
The special prices of €6 for school and university students and €24 for a family ticket will be valid throughout September.
