Helios Lodges Company Ltd. was established in Tanzania in 2018 with the aim of investing in and developing tourism and hospitality projects.

In 2019 the company signed license agreements with the Tanzania National Parks Authority for the construction of Lodges in Serengeti National Park (150 beds in the Lobo area) and Tarangire National Park (150 beds in Kitbong Hill) and a permanent tented camp in Lake Manyara National Park (50 beds in Msasa River area). In September 2023, a license agreement was signed for the development of a hotel in the Ngorongoro Crater – a UNESCO natural heritage site.

The four parks form the so-called Northern Circuit of Tanzania. They are world famous and attract the majority of international tourists, visiting the country through the conveniently located Kilimanjaro International Airport.

All lodges are to be built within the traditional for the respective area architectural style, with extensive reference to the local culture and art, using indigenous materials and techniques to ideally blend into the environment. The design and engineering are entrusted to a consortium of leading South African architects, interior designers, and engineers, led by SOURCE Ltd. and GAPP Ltd.

The exclusivity of the product is to be guaranteed through management agreement with one of the oldest hospitality groups – Kempinski S.A.
