Saint Lucia Delegation Visits Bulgaria to Strengthen Tourism and Investment Partnerships

А high-level delegation from the Ministry of Tourism, Investment, Information, Culture and Crafts of Saint Lucia is visiting Bulgaria at the invitation of TWIG Jsc. from June 15 to 22, 2025. The delegation is led by Mrs. Donaline Wittet, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry.

The visit marks an important step toward enhancing bilateral cooperation in tourism and investment. During their stay, the Saint Lucian representatives held a key meeting with Mr. Valentin Zlatev, Chairman of the TWIG’s Board of Directors. He shared the group’s achievements and strategic vision, including reaffirming TWIG’ s commitment to the development of the Grand Hyatt Saint Lucia project.

The delegation was also received by Bulgaria’s Deputy Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Irena Georgieva. In a productive meeting at the Ministry of Tourism, both parties discussed best practices in tourism management and the crucial role of public-private partnerships in supporting the growth of the tourism industry—an economic cornerstone for both countries.

Beyond official meetings, the delegation had the opportunity to explore Sofia’s rich cultural and historical heritage. A highlight of their visit was a private tour of the soon-to-be-opened Bulgaria Land model park in Pravets, offering a glimpse into Bulgaria’s evolving tourism landscape.

As guests of Terra Way Investment Group, the delegation also toured several hospitality properties and experienced first-hand the renowned warmth of Bulgarian hospitality. Their stay included visits to the Hyatt Regency Sofia, Hyatt Regency Pravets Resort, and Secrets Sunny Beach Resort & Spa, where they enjoyed traditional Bulgarian cuisine and world-class service.

This official visit not only deepens the ties between Saint Lucia and Bulgaria but also opens new avenues for collaboration in tourism development and international investment.
